Abstract
(UA) У статті розкриваються історичні витоки розвитку музичної освіти, музично-теоретичної думки, різновидів музично-виконавської творчості епохи давніх цивілізацій - епохи Середньовіччя як основи подальшого розвитку музичної освіти на наступних історичних етапах, акцентується увага на значенні різновидів музичної творчості в духовному розвитку особистості.
(EN) The paper focuses on historical background of music education, music-theoretical thought, as well as music and performing arts of ancient civilizations era. The mentioned historic period of Middle Ages is viewed as the basis for further development of music education in other historical stages. The significance of music activity diversity for spiritual development of an individual is emphasized. The peculiarities of composing and performing activity, theoretical and aesthetic conception of outstanding philosophers of Ancient Greece, as well as reformist ideas of Middle Ages pedagogues and musicians, mainly, of Іoann de Murisa, S. Boethius, Guido 'Arezzo are considered. The author claims that musical works of the researched period contributed greatly to the further development of composition, and vocal-instrumental crafts in the system of music education.
