(en) The efficiency of musical education and the upbringing of pupils to a large extent depends on the personality of a teacher, his/her outlook and professional training, his/her pedagogical talent and skill, the width of a teacher’s intelligence and mental sensitivity The object of the article is to highlight the topical issues of instrumental training of a modern music teacher and how to improve this process by introducing new methods based on the principles of an integrative approach to teaching student. But the modern system of the art training for pupils and students extends the possibilities of employing graduate musicians in choreographic educational institutions, choreographic departments of pedagogical universities and colleges of culture, children's and youth centers and aesthetic centers, creative groups, where the concertmaster must combine different genres (vocal-choral and choreographic). The instrumental activity of the teacher must be in line with the requirements of the secondary school, and the work repertoire must be systematically replenished with new works, extending the program of music art lessons. The basis of the professional performance of the music teacher is the integral combination of many components: the development of general theoretical knowledge and skills; the development of practical skills of playing the instrument; the formation of the culture of sound and performing technique; the ability to perceive music through the understanding of its essence and content and the further embodiment of this content in a specific sound. Analysing the current system of instrumental and performing training of a modern teacher of music art, we identified some shortcomings in the system of his professional training at a pedagogical university, which significantly affect the professional development of students. Little attention is paid to the development of creative skills: the selection of music by hearing, the creation of simple accompaniments to the song repertoire and choreographic compositions, the translation and arrangement of instrumental material, improvisation.
